Refund policy

Effective October 15, 2026

Hidey Pro is sold through Google Play, so Google Play takes the payment and sends any refund back to you. This page explains when you can get your money back and how to ask. It is part of our terms of use.

Within 48 hours of buying

Ask Google Play directly, because it's the fastest way:

  1. Open the Play Store app and tap your profile picture.
  2. Go to Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
  3. Choose the Hidey purchase and tap Report a problem.

Google usually decides within one business day, and sometimes takes up to four.

After 48 hours

Email support@hideyvault.com within 14 days of the charge, with your Google Play order number. It starts with "GPA." and is in the receipt Google emailed you. We give a full refund when:

  • Pro doesn't work as described on your phone and we can't fix it,
  • you were charged twice for the same purchase, or
  • you were charged after you had cancelled.

We look at other requests case by case, and we aim to reply within two business days.

Subscriptions

  • Cancel any time in the Play Store app: tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hidey → Cancel subscription.
  • Uninstalling Hidey doesn't cancel your subscription.
  • After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund the unused part of a period, except as described above or where the law requires it.
  • If you cancel a free trial before it ends, you won't be charged.

Lifetime purchase

A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that gives you Pro for as long as we offer Hidey, on the Google account you bought it with. The same refund rules apply.

After a refund

A refund ends Pro for that purchase, just as when a subscription ends: ads return, hidden vaults lock, and the other Pro features switch off. Your files are never deleted, and everything comes back if you buy Pro again.

The money goes back to the payment method you used. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.

Your legal rights

Nothing on this page limits the rights that consumer law gives you where you live. For example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google Play may accept refund requests over a longer period.
