Ads on the free plan
The free plan shows Google AdMob ads, never covering your photos. Pro removes them.
Anonymous analytics
Firebase tells us about crashes and how the app is used, so we can fix things. Never vault contents.
PIN reset through Google
Forgot your PIN? Reset it through your Google account after a 24-hour wait. Pro’s zero-knowledge mode replaces this with a recovery key only you hold.
No account, no recovery
Skip Google sign-in and forget your PIN, and nobody can recover the vault. Keep a local backup file.

What people ask before trusting a vault.

Can the Hidey team see my photos?

No. Files are encrypted on your phone, and we don’t run servers that store them. Backups go to your own Google Drive or your own S3 storage, encrypted before upload.

Is Hidey free?

Yes. Hiding, viewing, fingerprint unlock and encrypted Google Drive backup are free, with no limit on how much you hide. The free plan shows ads. Pro is an optional upgrade with extra features and no ads.

What if I forget my PIN?

If you signed in with Google, you can reset it through Google after a 24-hour wait. In zero-knowledge mode, use your recovery key. Without Google sign-in, the vault can’t be recovered, so keep a local backup file.

Does hiding a photo remove it from Google Photos?

Not from the cloud. If Google Photos already backed up a photo, a copy stays in your Google Photos account until you delete it there. Hidey reminds you the first time you hide something.

What data does Hidey collect?

Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics through Firebase, purchase status through Google Play and RevenueCat, and on the free plan, the data Google AdMob uses to show ads. Never your files, file names or PIN.
