Acceptable use policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Hidey is built to keep your own private things private. These rules say what it must not be used for. They are part of our terms of use.
Don't use Hidey to
- store, hide or share child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors. We have zero tolerance for this.
- store or share intimate images of anyone without their consent, or photos and videos of people taken without their knowledge.
- spy on, stalk or harass anyone, for example by installing Hidey on someone else's phone or using its camera features to record people secretly.
- keep material you have no legal right to have, such as stolen data or pirated content.
- do anything else that breaks the law where you live.
Don't misuse the app or our services
- Don't attack, overload or try to break into Hidey or the services it uses.
- Don't reverse engineer Hidey or get around its Pro checks, except where the law allows it.
- Don't abuse payments, for example with fraudulent refund requests or chargebacks.
- Don't copy, resell or redistribute Hidey, or use our name and logo in a way that could mislead people.
What we can and can't do
We can't see what is in your vault, so we don't monitor or scan it. If we learn of a breach of these rules, for example through a report, we may end your access to Pro, refuse future purchases, and cooperate with law enforcement as the law requires. We can't decrypt vaults or hand over their contents, because we don't hold the keys.
Report misuse
If you know of Hidey being used to harm someone, email support@hideyvault.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
