Cookie policy

The short version: this website sets no cookies, and the Hidey app doesn't use cookies to follow you around. Here is what is stored on your device, and how to clear it.
This website
- No cookies. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count visits and measure page speed without cookies and without identifying you across sites.
- Your theme choice. If you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers it in local storage under
hidey-theme. It never leaves your browser, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it. - Server logs. Vercel, our hosting provider, processes standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. No cookies are set for this.
Links to other sites, such as Google Play, take you to sites with their own cookie policies.
The Hidey app
- Ads (free plan). Google AdMob uses your phone's advertising ID and similar technologies to show and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Hidey asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. Where the law gives you a choice, you can change it in Settings → Ad privacy choices, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's settings. Pro has no ads.
- The private browser (Pro). Websites you visit may set cookies while you browse. Hidey clears the browser's cookies, cache and site storage every time it opens and closes.
- Crash reports and analytics. These use installation identifiers, not cookies. The privacy policy explains what they collect.

If we start using cookies or change what we store, we will update this page and the date at the top.
