Delete your data

Effective October 15, 2026

This page explains how to delete the data connected to Hidey, the photo and file vault made by Snowpex Technologies Private Limited. Hidey has no user accounts on our servers, and we never hold your files, so most of it is deleted on your phone or in your own storage. For the rest, ask us.

Ask us to delete your data

Email privacy@hideyvault.com with the subject Delete my data, and include:

  • the installation ID from Settings → About in Hidey, and
  • your Google Play order number if you bought Pro. It starts with "GPA." and is in the receipt Google emailed you.

Within 30 days, we delete the crash reports, analytics and purchase record held by RevenueCat that are linked to those details, and confirm by email. If you have a subscription, cancel it in Google Play first: deleting your data doesn't stop the payments.

Is there an account to delete?

No. Hidey doesn't create an account on our servers. If you signed in with Google for backups, that is your own Google account, which Hidey only uses to reach its hidden backup folder. Delete the backups and disconnect Hidey as described in step 2.

1. The vault on your phone

In Hidey, open Settings → Delete everything. This permanently deletes every vault on that phone, including hidden vaults, notes, intruder photos and the access log.

Uninstalling Hidey on its own does not remove the encrypted vault folder, because it is designed to survive a reinstall. Use Delete everything first, or delete the vault folder with a file manager afterwards.

2. Google Drive backups

  1. Open Google Drive on the web and go to Settings → Manage apps.
  2. Find Hidey, open Options and choose Delete hidden app data.
  3. To disconnect Hidey from your Google account, remove it from your Google account's third-party connections.

3. The reinstall recovery record

If Google backup is on for your phone, Android keeps a small, PIN-locked copy of your vault key so a reinstall can recover your vault. Delete everything removes it.

4. S3-compatible storage (Pro)

Delete the bucket or folder you configured in your storage provider's console, and revoke the access key you gave Hidey.

5. Purchases

Cancel subscriptions in Google Play. Uninstalling Hidey doesn't cancel them. To have the purchase record held by RevenueCat deleted, email us with your Google Play order number.

6. Crash reports and analytics

These are linked to installation identifiers, not to your name or email. Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days, and analytics after 14 months at most. To have them deleted sooner, email us with the installation ID from Settings → About.

7. Ads

On the free plan, ads use your phone's advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your phone's settings, under Privacy → Ads on most phones.

What is kept

  • Purchase records: Google Play keeps its own order records, and we keep the billing records that tax and accounting laws require, for as long as those laws say.
  • Your request: we keep a record of your deletion request and our reply, to show that we handled it.
